David Mills studied as an apprentice working for two separate faux finishing outfits while working his way through art school. The knowledge and variety acquired from the two different experiences built a foundation of technical knowledge that today makes up the core of his repertoire. The opportunity to purchase one of the decorative painting firms presented itself and David jumped into the then not-so-crowded marketplace. David has worked hard over the years as new product innovations have led to the possibility of new techniques to stay in touch with current trends.
David is a master artisan recognized as one of the best faux finishers in the area. He and this team of experts have completed a variety of projects from New York to Florida including many private estates in several exclusive neighborhoods in the Washington area. Other projects include restaurants, designer show houses and builders’ models throughout the mid-Atlantic region, as well as an extensive faux marble installation for the U. S. Department of Commerce lobby in Washington D.C. His work has been photographed for several trade publications as well as The Washington Post.
